First I've been thinking about all the people I talk to who aren't sure what's "normal" for a scar.
What's normal for a new scar in colour, swelling, sensation, numbness, movement? When your medical team have told you to massage your scar what does that mean? How often, how firmly, how long for?
And people who have had a scar for a long time often wonder if their scar could look and feel better. Could it be softer, more flexible, less lumpy, more comfortable? Maybe you'd like your movement to be better, easier, more free?
If any of that is sounding familiar maybe you should book a 30 minute bespoke Scar Advice & Assessment with me.
I will do a structured assessment of your scar focusing on any concerns you have and give you specific advice and techniques to do yourself at home. I can also advise on products to use to support healing and recovery. For example did you know there is a silicone scar gel with SPF 30 in it to protect your scar from sun damage while promoting healing? We can talk about tips like that when we meet.

I also want to tell you that the 60 minute upper body massage for total relaxation is back on 1st August. It's a few months since I offered this. Although it is very popular but there hasn't been an opportunity recently.
One of my regular clients booked this last time and said, "I don't know when I last felt this relaxed."
Sometimes we all just need to turn the phone off for an hour and pause. It doesn't magic away all our stresses and pressures but it does help us cope.
When? Saturday 1st August Where? Wellfield Clinic, Newport How? Use the contact page to arrange a call before booking
