Each year I do some training and learning to build on the foundations of my massage and scar therapy.  It's not just a tick box exercise to please my insurance company or professional organisation.  I really give it a lot of thought about what I need to improve on or learn.

• Where are the gaps in my knowledge?
• What skills could I improve on or learn?
• What will improve your experience or make your appointment better?

The first course I did this month was to update my First Aid certificate.  I was really pleased to be able to do this alongside some of my nursing colleagues as well as some of the team from Morrello Clinic too.

Then later in the month I was back in the classroom to revise my myofascial release skills.  I had done a similar course quite a few years ago but I felt I was a little bit rusty so got back into it again with this one day course.

I hope I'll never have to use my First Aid training on you but you might have the opportunity to have some myofascial release at your next appointment.  I'll look forward to seeing you soon.
